When “Free” Means Worth the Effort
You’ve probably seen an advertisement or two about free MLM leads and have been wondering if these are worth looking into. Leads really are the life-blood of any network marketing business; you need them to find people who will buy from you, or want to be a supplier or your downline. But if these people were so important, why would anyone want to give away a free list?
It’s time to think outside the box. The old MLM methods really will guard these viable lead lists with life and limb. That’s because they are scarce and hard to come by and not because people don’t like to make money, really. It’s also because the old way of doing MLM business is, to put it mildly, really bad. It was all about getting the people who will work for a pittance and making the most money out of them until they stop being productive that you’ll have no choice but to leave them. If you could find a person who will be your virtual slave (and you can live with yourself after), you would be careful about sharing that lead list, too.
Sharing is Caring
The reason why there are now free leads (that really are good ones) is because the new trend in building an MLM enterprise is matching people up. It’s no longer just about making money, but rather, building a better business community where network marketers put service first before profits. When you do get the free MLM leads from the attraction marketing system, it’s because the system knows that you need the prospect and the prospect needs you.
The people in these lists come willingly, but that is not an excuse to take advantage of them. It is instead an opportunity for you to take them under your wing and develop their potential. Be the example that they need to grow in the business.
Be a Launch Pad
It’s not hard to form personal attachments to people, especially if you (and should) genuinely care for the people in your network. You do have to realize that these people are there for their own reasons and not yours. When it’s time for them to strike out on their own, you really have to let them go.
This is despite the fact that they are the best in your network. When the professional relationship is gone, it’s not a hindrance to maintain a personal relationship. You can be proud of their accomplishments and commiserate with them if they fail, but the bottom line is that they are accountable for their actions, not you.
In fact, this should be one of the first rules that you will teach the prospects in your free MLM leads. You are there for support and advice; everything else is up to them. Couple that with appreciation for their efforts and teamwork whenever possible, and you will get to keep the really good ones in your network.
